Inspirational Ex Somerset Student Wowing America in Football
Former student of The King Alfred School, an Academy, Caitlin Berry has a bright future ahead of her as she aspires to become the next Alex Morgan or Steph Houghton at USA college Georgia Gwinnett.
Caitlin left TKASA in 2013, and went on to play for England Colleges U19s while a student at Bridgwater College.
Having moved abroad, she started to attend Georgia Gwinnett College, studying education while scoring 22 goals for the football side in 2017. She was also picked in the league dream team and was voted the Outstanding Player of the Championship Tournament (Play-offs).
Caitlin said: “It has been an incredible opportunity to continue my football career in the USA. The last four years have been a whirlwind of experiences and a huge learning curve having to move to the other side of the world on my own and learn about all the differences within their culture.”
