Wellbeing

Mental wellbeing & safeguarding are at the heart of The King Alfred School – an Academy’s ethos’s. Working with home, SEN, Behaviour Support, SLT and wider staff, the Safeguarding and Mental Health Team have children and young people’s wellbeing at the core of all aspects of delivery. This page gives highlights of additional support for students in our community. If you wish to discuss anything further, please feel free to contact Miss Saunders, Safeguarding and Mental Health Manager (Mental Health Lead for the school).

As a school, we have external agencies come in to provide mental wellbeing support, such as In Charley’s Memory and Young Somerset.

There is also a wealth of support and resources that can be accessed online or over the phone.
