Inspirational year 10 young speakers take on Edvocate™ challenge

A group of 10, young, inspirational speakers completed the Edvocate™ English challenge on Monday 10th June.

Over 10 students from the King Alfred School an Academy took on the Edvocate™ challenge on Monday 10th June. A presentation evening was held where all of the young, year 10 students presented what they had produced and were given certificates and awards for their outstanding efforts. They had spent several weeks preparing for the final moment inside and outside of school, whilst also preparing for their upcoming exams. They featured a wide variety of topics from the declining red squirrel population to Islamophobia, which they had all personally chosen based on their interests.

Jacob Kemp said, “My favourite part of the evening was talking about Princess Diana (The Princess of Wales) as it is very close to my heart and I am an anti-bullying ambassador for “The Diana Award”
