The King Alfred School Academy sixth form student Nina Randall, in Year 12, has been handed the prestigious Rotary Youth Leadership Award. Nina endured a one-week intensive course at Dartmoor successfully completing a series of challenges including abseiling, navigation and public speaking.
The Rotary Youth Leadership Award is a leadership program coordinated by Rotary Clubs around the globe.

Nina is also mentoring younger students and is showing excellent leadership potential.

TKASA encourages all of their students to follow their dreams and to dream big, encouraging them to take part in challenges that may excite or challenge them. Head of Sixth Form Jonathan Gaskell said “Nina deservedly won her place on this prestigious programme after impressing the Rotarians with her drive and leadership potential. “Nina is not shy to put herself forward for new challenges and she is becoming one of the key leaders in the TKASA Sixth Form.

“Since completing the RYLA Award, Nina has become a mentor for Year 11 students on Saturday mornings, sharing her positive work ethic with the next generation of would-be sixth formers in advance of the GCSE exams.”
