The King Alfred School Academy student Sam Lodge is eager to raise almost £4,000 in order to get to the World Scout Jamboree later this year.
Sam, 13, has been doing lots of charity and community work in order to try and raise enough money to be able to go and he says he is really grateful for the ‘amazing response’ so far from members of the public.

Now he is hoping to raise more money towards his dream. Sam said: “I am thankful for joining 1st Burnham-on-Sea Scout Group as I would not have got this amazing opportunity without their help and support along the way. The Scout Leaders are amazing!”
The World Scout Jamboree is an opportunity to meet thousands of fellow Scouts from around the world and embrace different cultures and lifestyles, while building new friendships.

Activities at the event include team building challenges and all kinds of outdoor activities.
