The King Alfred Sixth Form have planned to crush targets for fantastic local charities in Raising and Giving week.

The RAG committee have chosen to raise money for Weston Hospicecare and Love Musgrove, which both have a special place in the hearts of students and the local community.
Activities throughout the school will run from February 11th to February 15th, with fun and games such as Soak the Teacher, The Chase, Wax the Teacher, Sixth Form vs Teachers football, and even a Bush Tucker Trial! A variety show will also be held after school on Wednesday 13th at 6:30pm for students, with special performances from talented musicians, singers and dancers, a DJ and refreshments.

Sixth Form student and Head Boy Dan Anderson said; “The team organising RAG week this year have worked extremely hard to make the most successful fundraising week we’ve ever had. Everyone is so passionate about our chosen charities and the amount we hope to raise really reflects this.”

Alongside events within the school, the Sixth Form will be doing a RAG Walk into Burnham-on-Sea High street on Friday 15th February, collecting donations and selling Raffle tickets, with prizes provided by local businesses: Patty and Frank, Prim and Proper, Ritz Cinema, the Tobacco Factory and many more!
Students are planning to reach £2,500 with the help of the local community. For regular updates on the build up to RAG week, more information and key dates, follow @TKASARagWeek on twitter.
