Remote Access and Desktop
Remote Access at KAS is changing. The old remote server will be functional until October 2018 and then will be decommissioned and unavailable. We would recommend using the new method of Remote Access as detailed below.
Windows PC/Tablet/Laptop with Internet Explorer
Go to https://gateway.kingalfred.somerset.sch.uk/RDWeb/ using Internet Explorer and log in with your KAS Network details.
Windows PC/Tablet/Laptop with Chrome/Firefox or HTML5 compliant browser
Go to https://gateway.kingalfred.somerset.sch.uk/RDWeb/webclient/ using any modern browser and log in with your KAS Network details.
Windows PC/Tablet/Laptop with RemoteApp and Desktop integration
Go to Control panel and click “RemoteApp and Desktop Connections” or search for this in the start menu. Click “Access RemoteApp and Desktop” and enter https://gateway.kingalfred.somerset.sch.uk/ into the box. Enter your KAS Network details when prompted.
iOS, Android or Mac using the Microsoft Remote Desktop App
Use the "Microsoft Remote Desktop" app from the relevant app store. When configuring the app, add a "Remote Resource Feed" using https://gateway.kingalfred.somerset.sch.uk as the URL along with your KAS Network details.
